the story of a Hand-painted peacock
This fabulous hand-painted peacock panel was commissioned for an elegant arched window in the Deal home of some new clients.
The couple wanted to add secondary glazing to the large arched window to help keep the room cosy on cold days and took the opportunity to make a feature of it with a bespoke, hand-painted image.
Town & Country Glass' artist Teresa, designed and painted the vibrant peacock with its distinctive tail feather train onto toughened glass.
Our clients were delighted with the finished result, which not only helps keep the room warm, but looks spectacular when the sun shines through the peacock’s glorious blues and greens - all without obscuring the view of the beautiful garden.
